I'm sorry about this! Yes red locktite is normal, but it looks like there was too much used :( If you have it installed you should be good with only one not being used, If for some reason you think its not holding or it comes loose contact me and i will send you out a replacement :) Thomas,

No not at all :) The shifter cable lock down actually fixes two separate rattling noises, one with the O-rings and the other with the body locking down the cable. Thomas,

They should last for a long time! We provide 6 in the kit, we recommend installing all 6 but really 3-4 does the job, so the extra are there for back ups if needed :) Thomas,

From the factory this shifter cable rattle noise is normal, when adding a after-market short shifter this rattle can be more pronounced. Instead of drilling and adding zip-ties we have our Shifter cable lockdown. Thomas,
