sportlines isn't super low, though they are typically lower than pro-kits.
I recall reading at some point they designed the stock struts to be more durable along a wider range, that it can handle moderate lowering - knowing their user base. Maybe someone can confirm if they recall that too.

Is there a thread for this that shows some DIY and PN? I throw my sunglasses in the charger pad every day and its getting increasingly scratched. First I've heard of this.
Never thought of the smog check thing, but makes sense if it's fresh off the truck and hasn't gone through drive cycles.
Sounds about how I would feel about it. Well, you're here now, enjoy it and have fun!
For some perspective, I don't think a lot of socal dealers went below 4-5k markup on the previous gen.
If you want to keep your money over the convenience of picking it up local and not having to pick out shady transport companies and uncovered trucks, then it is what it is. Those prices could...
I'm not either, but I'm always down to watch an install video ??.
My ideal would be to flash at a certain pedal position. Not sure if the car already monitors brake pedal position, but taking advantage of that for a different function would probably be much more complicated than an add-on...
As long as I can revert before smog, it's all good. But if they're going to be able to look at flash counters or checksum that isn't straightforward to verify before going in for a test, that's a headache. At this point others have said as long as you flash back to stock tune and drive long...
If I recall, it was the coal rollers that ruined the party. Really bad optics, and unquestionably considerable CO and particulate emissions for any personal use car. Though, some of the semi tractors often look the same.
Thanks for posting your experience, I've been on the fence on tuning for...
You'll probably be fine, but drive slower and take up longer stopping distances. You may bottom out easier over bumps/dips. This is probably a scenario which 18s would provide more comfort and less risk of blowing out over potholes, but you got a spare so you're probably good.
Last I looked into this, the FK8 kit comes with a custom carpet section, but in most cases because the "spare well" wasn't made for an actual spare, the new floor will sit 2" higher. There also isn't a spot to tie it down unless you drill a hole and install a threaded rivet or something. I am...
For a street car, look at the wet boiling point. That is the worst condition, get one that is not considerably low. DOT4 will be better, but they are not all the same.
Generally it's said higher performing DOT4 fluids are more hygroscopic and get to the diminished point faster, so if you're not...
This looks great. I've been trying to figure out if the barrage of IG ads was influencing my opinion or if it indeed looked like a more driveway/dip friendly lip kit that adds some style and protection. This forum has been eerily quiet on this comparatively.
Sad the side plates require...
I second this ... I haven't looked for a decent independent shop, but the dealer scratched my wheels doing a tire change (they had the tire in stock and were the best price, interestingly), and I found a shop rag in my intake (I'm not sure if/when I'll take them up on their free oil change). I...
Hatch is resin
My bumper is closer to the rear quarter than the hatch. The fact that the hatch requires a lot of force from the internal handle to close, yet doesn't like to latch, bothers me more than the shade mismatch.
I also use dreamshop for parts and part numbers.
I sorely miss honda estore. It was easier to navigate, less buggy, and less walls to get info they don't really want you to have.
It is easier than Subaru's system...
