It’s not that easy for everyone. Some people live in a small town and have 1 or no dealers. They would need to drive hours to get to one: add the miles and inconvenience to that.
So it’s fair to expect any Honda branded dealership to behave consistently, even if they’re independent.
Honda is...
I always say that when one buys a car, they’re also buying into the brand, and into the dealerships. Which is why a $60k Civic (not what you paid) is not okay under any circumstance.
I am most certainly on my last Honda.
To me it sounds like a wire harness not properly padded. So it’s consistently banging against something. The loud and consistent ones are somewhat easier than the subtle and temperature related ones. But taking apart a dash is not fun at all.
This sucks. I hope you didn’t pay a hefty markup on...
My FK8 never did any of this, zero rattles. Nor did my FG2 or any other Honda I’ve owned. So this is definitely not a “civic thing” and not a “the type r is pure and raw” thing.
How cramped you are is obviously a problem for some people. I’m 6,0” and 167 lbs and fit just fine. I can’t say that I’m we comfortable as I am in the Passport of course lol.
Some people’s feelings are getting hurt. Nothing wrong with discussing the merits of both cars. Like I said, if only one car can be had, and you need the space clearly the FL5 is the way to go.
But, an objectively indisputable fact is the crippledness it’s born with, FWD. FWD was fine when the...
Thanks. My guess is that If you do get a Miata, you probably won’t end up wanting the FL5.
And if you have an FL5 and then get a Miata, it will cast a shadow on the FL5.
The ND2 is so good, its qualities are immediately obvious after the first drive, but much more so after it breaks in and...
Wow, the first model year issues are at full blast on the FL5 it seems. Things like these are why these cars aren’t worth the $65k OTD asking price. Because of the “civic” part, not because of the “Type R” part. I hope they sort it all out for y’all.
At first I thought it looked really good, and I kind of still do. But I’m realizing the spoiler used to match the side skirt and now it doesn’t. In the 90s, even side skirts were body colored. So now I don’t know how I feel - should the spoiler match the side skirts? Or should it match the body...
To the OP, I really really think it is much wiser to hang on to the LE, and see what happens with the FL5 market, models, etc. The more I think of it, a few things could be on the horizon:
- Possibly the 2024 or 2025 brings something like, heated seats which in my opinion is almost mandatory...
I’m with you on that. I really like the FL5 interior - but it’s quite a stretch (and financially silly) to lose anything in the order of $10-15k for that. Eventually the novelty wears off. It’s ultimately a financial choice, but, with the added headache of, you have a perfectly fine car and with...
