Thanks for the feedback everyone.
I'm leaning towards using GM syncromesh w/ friction modifier, is the below part # the correct one? Also I think I read 2qts is fine, but lmk if I need more.

Also - maybe it's just placebo , however now that my car has 12k miles, I feel like the exhaust has gotten a little louder. I've been running flap fuse pulled for the majority of the time too..
Do others notice this?
Currently at 12k miles on my type R and wanted to get the consensus for when to change out the trans fluid?
I've done 2 track days and then besides that, just normal commuter driving with occasional spirited weekend drives.
Reason for asking, I have found recently that the shifting isn't as...
Yep these exhaust 'headifold' type setups of most new turbo 4cyl makes none of them that appealing sound wise imo..
One mod I'd love to see (not sure how feasible it is), is a manual hand brake!
Super lame, aftermarket isn't what it used to be. For a variety of reasons too imo.
I think the GR Corolla and Golf R have more support.
This is all from the guy that's staying stock and done modding, but still cool to see strong aftermarket support.
Nothing, you just have your alert temp set too low ,as 183 is perfectly normal. There's a setting within the Log R app to adjust your limit values on oil and coolant temps

Consistency of power delivery (better then my old WRX and focus RS)
Car remembers to stay in individual mode if that's the last mode you had it set to ( also love how customizable ind mode is)
I could go on and on, but these are my top 5

Regarding carbon build up, Toyota def has an advantage over Honda with their D4S system (port + DI) however it's pretty amazing that Honda has managed to keep carbon build up issues from being more widespread.
I also do think that at this point, DI technology is 15+ yrs old now in cars, so...
I wonder if all these posts about the car running rough are more related to the sound/nvh vs the actual power delivery. If that's true, it's probably exactly why Honda engineers added the flap in order to provide a 'smoother' sounding engine.
Me personally, I've been running flap open for the...
Similar to the fk8, I'm sure we'll get more of a touring model with a smaller wing, softer (ITS) dampers, heated seats/wheel and maybe different wheels. Not sure I'd personally upgrade, but I can see this type of life cycle model coming out. On the flip side, I can see acura slapping a bigger...
