So, since the stock turbos are capable of a maximum cfm rate of just of 400 (each model); then, this project would apply only to "Upgraded" turbos correct.
In addition, the stock turbo(s) are not at their best efficiency when flowing that cfm - so, it is only going to compliment upgraded turbos...
Don't everyone with a CVT (in North America) jump too hastily with upgrading turbos for more power.
Until someone provides more than theory or supposed owner claims of power numbers without solid fact findings (with engineering to support those claims) related to a CVT 1.5L; then, they are just...
That is absolutely correct @PowerPerLiter .
Using the correct octane a tune recommends will bring the K.Count to .49 and would NET MBT. That’s what we really want.
For those running an additional +6psi and not following the recommended octane, you are losing much more than just Hp/Tq.
Understanding that increased pressure equals higher heat is basic. The VTC does a rather good job with scavenging, but as your ignition timing decreases you will eventually...
The stock system performs rather well for the velocity required to feed the small turbo correct?
This would definitely be something for the M/T models that opt for a much larger turbo designed for a larger Litre Engine. So, for the "built" applications it would be beneficial.
