I test drove a Corolla hatchback and was pretty surprised at how little space there was in the rear. I think it looks sweet and it drives well, but it’s strange how little room there is in the back.
I hope to god that they put the bronze colour as an option for the GR Corolla because that with...
Probably just the power steering system at full stress. I’ve had it happen in pretty much every car I’ve driven. Ironically, only my 2012 civic doesn’t do it lol.
Yeah, I’ve shoved foam on a rattling piece of plastic before to stop resonating rattling. Just play a song that makes it rattle and find the piece, shove the foam in, and it’ll be fine. Maybe some double sided tape depending on where it is.
It’s a brand new car, take it to the dealer lol. Record it so that you have an example in case they can’t reproduce it, but they should be taking care of it if it’s actually an issue.
Love BB, but you’re totally right. That’s why I’m going to get CW, if I’m buying a Type R I want it to be special and CW is a fantastic exclusive colour. I doubt they’d ever put that on a base model.
As far as the seats go, I have a buddy that’s a similar build and he just got a lumbar pad that hangs over the seat in his car. Not ideal, but he doesn’t care. I’ve always found any Honda I’ve driven to have seating positions meant for not very tall people. I’m 176 cm (5’9”ish) and I find that I...
I also have totally not been checking in multiple times a day for over a year… you guys are crazy, I’m the sane one if anything! I’ve read a lot of articles that have this same level of speculation unfortunately. The truth is (as much as it sucks for us), Honda actually has kept an insanely...
I don’t remember which it was, but a new generation was actually slower than the previous gen as well. There was a top gear episode where they tested it, can’t remember which one.
I think that there was never a chance of getting anything too new this year, but it is still a great setup. Some...
It absolutely should be. Never put down a non-refundable deposit on something like this.
As far as through my dealer, I was told that I would be able to refund up until 1 month after taking possession.
There is nothing available as far as confirmed information other than the fact that the car is coming out eventually. You can put a deposit down at your dealership to reserve one when they come out (which is what most of us have done), but that’s about it.
Thanks for the post, I’ve been interested in the POV of someone who has driven both since the Elantra N came out. Only thing is build quality, and while Honda hasn’t been perfect they’ve been much better than Hyundai. You nailed it about the usability bit too, the hatch & space of the Type R is...
Well, let's hope it's a little earlier than that. I've had my deposit down for about a year now, I was hoping we'd be getting to drive this summer. I've also seen July mentioned as a rumoured release.
So they’re most likely going to talk about the track times they were able to put down. Hopefully a little more information about suspension changes and drivetrain too, but I’m not gonna hold my breath. I’m still going to set my expectations way too high though, just to keep myself from crying...
This stuff is disgusting to see. It's going to kill decent cars just like with the Focus RS. I'm hoping to god that this settles down soon for the sake of all of you in the US, because it's insane. Used cars are wild in Canada too, but at least we can get new cars for MSRP if you can be patient...
