Can someone please video themselves driving their car to show this insane rev-hang?
I drove over 100 miles today alone and messed with different gears, and shift points, along with speed and I honestly cant find any.
I put the car at whatever rpm and clutch in and watch the revs just drop...
Agree! I've never had an issue driving slow or fast with shifting out of first gear. Now I do shift into second in such a way as to not grind. My FK8 had a pretty bad 1->2 grind.. the FL5 doesn't yet and I would like it to stay that way.
I dont even notice rev hang. I've had so many other cars with horrible hang.. So just give the clutch and throttle a little more finesse, you'll figure it out.
I had a similar experience.. I bought my '24 right when the '25s hit the dealers and when the stop sale was going on.. My dealer got the kit to fix the steering rack before the quick fix came out and I had my car aligned by my tire shop not long after buying it (I had all seasons put onto stock...
Ive seen one blue and one red here in Cincinnati - I have a red '24 as well. I have seen a few fk8s but not that many. When I had my white fk8 I rarely if ever saw them around here too.
I removed those 4 smaller square blocks and mine fit 'flat'. Now I didnt use the center styrofoam piece because I have my tools secured a different way.
So I removed the smaller middle foam blocks on the floor and didnt re-use the Styrofoam center piece because I have other storage in the trunk for the tools. I should have at least checked to see if it'd work but I didnt, sorry.
What? There is a threaded hole in the FL5 trunk. I just swapped/installed a spare into mine and had no problems once I got ahold of the correct trunk carpet from a FK8.. I kept everything from my FK8 except for that carpet.
I did, but I think it didnt like that I was connected with Apple CarPlay so I am going to disconnect my phone from the car and then try the update. If that wont work ill use a USB stick.
Might try this too once I get the car to actually update.. mine sees the update but "cant connect" even though its connected.. I think I know what to do but will try the USB next.
Anyways.. having factory nav isnt something I really need but sometimes it can be handy in a pinch.
I didnt like the idea of that either for the sole reason of I didnt have anything available to me to re-grease it and I didnt even know what grease I would use.
In the end it worked out but yeah ill be better prepared the next time. 8000 miles on the rear pads (I replaced them as soon as I got...
Wow. ok then lol. I dont remember even trying a regular 9mm socket. I might have.. its been long enough that I dont remember. I probably did read a 9mm socket or E11 and I do have an E11 but dont think I even used it and may have used a 9mm socket and my fingers. Who knows.
Looks like I am all...
Like the title says.. WHERE?? lol Every single set I see (and bought) has everything BUT E9.. and I havent ever seen just the one E9 socket.
I managed to use my fingers when I did this last year and I would just rather not do that again and get the actual socket.
I appreciate the help.
