In addition to all of the items egxflash mentioned, Acura put the Type S badge on an SUV so Type S as a whole is is now watered down marketing slop(not to take away from the DE5 specifically as it is an excellent car).
You go to a bar and mention you have a Type S and someone else will say "me...
Because it is completely unnecessary. The FL5 out of the box has a better manual shifting + clutch experience by a country mile than anything you get from a Toyota, Subaru, or Ford platform.
Standing starts no, FWD has too much of a traction penalty. We're talking roll races. Type R needs only 60-70~ more horsepower than stock to have a greater power to weight ratio than the CT4V Blackwing.

A big heavy v8 is apples and oranges to a Type R driving experience. Luxury sedans are great for standing starts and enjoying the v8 engine sound and experience every time you put your foot down while being pampered with luxury amenities.
The Type R on the other hand can brake later...
The car sells for what it's worth- if you manage to be one of the very few who get one for msrp you could immediately sell it for more than you paid for it used. You could sell it years later for over msrp with 30k+ miles on it.
Many cars from other brands that are on the enthusiast tier also...
Assuming this thread's information is correct: https://www.civicxi.com/forum/threads/speed-in-gear-at-redline.51180/
2nd gear stock caps out at 64.5mph. If you truly only hit 72 in 2nd then you're almost certainly fine from a mechanical standpoint. The engine has a degree of leeway before it...
You're fine.
0W-20 is a very thin oil by design. Car is still under warranty. Honda still knows how to make engines. If you really think there is an issue send some oil to an oil analysis lab- but you really don't need to.
93 octane only, octane boosters cause issues.
From my tuner: NOTE: Do NOT use octane booster. Octane boosters have corrosive additives like MMT which cause spark plug and injector problems.
I did this before and it did massively improve the responsiveness of the car infotainment but Google Maps stopped working when set to navigate somewhere. (Google Maps still worked fine when not navigating to a destination though)
Has anyone experienced this issue after disabling the factory...
Yup Phearable Stage 2 here on a mostly stock car it's fantastic. Also used their tune for my FK8 they do a great job.
Pics from the Hondata Austin jailbreak when I was there briefly:
A dyno is probably the best way to tell. It's definitely possible that the primary reason Honda did it was to try bridge the gap for the car needing to be quiet in certain scenarios and sporty(louder) in others- and the car needed to fit requirements across a wide range of markets.
Big open...
Definitely considering it. Does anyone know if we have to have purchased a Flash Pro ahead of time to get this jailbreak service or can we get the jailbreak done and then buy a Flash Pro later?
If your car is completely stock, an OTS tune is going to give you near as makes no difference the best performance/gains you can get while still being reliable. Once you start doing other modifications, a pro tune(as said above, by someone that knows the platform) will give you superior results.
