Had it done by a shop, but no issues with install. Doesn’t interfere with my AWE exhaust, but I can’t speak for others. And haven’t gotten the front subframe. It has been so long, you’ve reminded me to take a look at that now lol.
No complaints with mine, quality is great. EPR has been around for a while. And companies like seibon also make ‘Mugen style’ parts, etc. You just don’t get the JDM authenticity, which depends person to person.
You know what, I take that back. I saw a tip conversion listed for the FK8, but not yet for the FL5. It may be a case of it being a special request? I will defer to @Sara/AWE for an answer.
Thanks for the words of caution. Their philosophy is around utilizing oem hardware with a minimalist design. I’ve run braces from them in the past and tracked with them. UR also has a shop race car EK running similar designs without issue. But I will definitely look into those bolts.
What’s up guys. I am one of the early adopters of the AWE exhaust. Big thanks to them for the opportunity to review the Touring Edition of their product. @Sara/AWE has lots of good technical info in the official release thread, so check that out.
I’ve had some seat time on it around town, on...
Ultra Racing has released their front strut bar for the FL5. They have been in the chassis bracing game for a while, and are well known in the honda world. So I’m excited to have been part of test fitting for them
Install was straightforward, the one-piece design adds rigidity while...
The most correct answer is usually somewhere in the middle. Valved exhausts aren’t necessarily useless. But also may not be needed depending on the application and execution.
In this instance, I can confirm that AWE did a great job of creating an exhaust that doesn’t need the valve. It really...
Thanks for sharing! When I replaced my mirror caps I did method #1 and it was a PITA. If I ever swap them out I’ll refer to your DIY for method #2 haha.
Gonna make your OCD a little worse here lol. When PPF isn’t wrapped around a panel and a leading front edge is exposed, it tends to accumulate dirt over time. On a white car, this can be pretty noticeable where you can see the outline of that edge.
Debating if I should pull it off now or wait...
How much is an oem filter? You are at least saving a little in the long run only having to clean this filter rather than replace it. So even if the gains based on the “butt dyno” are minimal, it could be worth it ?
Agreed. Had KWv3s on a previous car. Never touched them after they were dialed in to my liking lol. I’d like to keep the FL5 adjustable damping too, so springs will probably be the way I go here.
Now the wait for things to get released.
