Yea I’d definitely go with ABP over white. That was my first choice but there were no ABP allocated locally for the first run

ABP on Black is pretty clean. I think I might prefer the black interior over the two tone red/black. This was taken so I can take the white one or wait for another ABP.

I may back out and just wait for the CTR it's what my heart wants. I liked the black interior as it has red in the suede but the seats are a major let down I can move side to side in them quite a bit. Almost a deal breaker alone tbh.

I actually got a notification this morning that the car was arriving today. I was driving down the DVP this morning and saw 3 White ITS on a shipping truck and was wondering if they were going to my dealership. Sure enough... lol.

Keep us posted. I did pass on the ITS but damn if I wasnt this close to pulling the trigger. Figured there will be at least 2 more years of ITS to grab one if the CTR never arrives.

Will do. Same boat man and yes, I expect the same thing. Couple more years for the ITS.

No CTR update from my end but my ITS just landed today 2 months early in the colour of my choice. Kind of bummed out I have to make a decision by this weekend. Really terrible we get 0 information regarding anything CTR I dont even know if I will ever get one even being the next in line. F Honda Canada.
Hey, I just got to experience the ITS for the first time. I got to say, it was amazing. The exhaust was intoxicating. Genuinely surprised by how loud and crazy it was. Car drove amazing, everything about it was good. The seats were better than I imagined (I was thinking glorified camry seats initially, but these similar to the likes Lexus IS F sport seats). They don't fully hug you in place, you can wiggle a bit but I was okay with it.

I'm saying all this because I now think that given the choice, I would not mind going with the ITS at all. I rather have either one of these vehicles that just sit there and continue to drive around my beater frustrated.

I'm also sick and tired of how the Honda dealers have treated me. It's like I'm begging them to sell me a car and they couldn't give a rat's ass. They can keep their car and let it collect dust. I'll continue to drive fun cars and enjoy my life. At the end of the day that's what this is all about.

I would not use that adjective to describe the DE5 exhaust. It's a good OEM offering for a 4-cylinder turbo engine, but there's nothing intoxicating about it. You can barely hear it driving with the windows up.

Easy to say because I've had an FL5 since last March, but if an FL5 is what you're after and has been for many years, there's no way you should settle for a DE5. It will never be an FL5. Despite how much people claim these cars are homogeneous, they're not.

Compared to all the muted new cars coming out, yeah I would say this is a great OEM exhaust from Honda. You can definitely hear it with the windows up. I understand your point about the FL5 but I've been waiting for 3 years with no end at sight. The dealerships I'm with have pretty much word for word told me to "move on". So at this point I have to "settle" for an ITS or go for something else entirely.

it’s the same car with different seats, dash, body panels and suspension lol. When did Honda owners become so elitest to other Honda owners lol. The seats are the only thing that the FL5 really has a leg up on the DE5 but as a daily I prefer the DE5 seats after dailying my FK8, but yeah for the track or very spirited drive it would be nice to have more bolstering. But what you can get, both these cars are so limited, if an FL5 comes in with your name and you still prefer it then trade the DE5. In my opinion I’d rather being driving and having fun in either of these cars then not and waiting around. Especially since Honda dealers suck and have screwed us around for years now so there’s no guarantee.

It's not about elitism. You clearly don't get it. It doesn't matter how closely matched they are. If you wanted an FL5 from the very beginning and could not land one, the DE5 in many cases (not all) will feel like a consolation prize. A consolation prize because 1) it is not the car you initially wanted; and 2) will cost you more than the car you initially wanted. And when you see an FL5 driving around, that sensation of settling will hit you. We've all been there at one time or another. There's nothing degrading or disrespectful about that.

And people need to get out of their feelings with this DE5 vs. FL5 stuff. If you feel like the DE5 is being "othered", you shouldn't care so long as you got the car you wanted. People like what they like, and want what they want. Be confident in what you selected and why - own it. Swooping in and telling people every chance you get that they're the same car and to get over it is such a bogus talk track. If they're the same car, why does this question or topic keeping rearing its head? It's on Reddit, YouTube, CivicXI Forums, Integra Forums, Civic11 Forum, digital media, print media, etc. Because the differences matter to people.
