FL5 fenders are rolled from the factory, should easily hold 285 but honestly there is diminishing returns. more unsprung weight and tramlining.
I can almost guarantee there are plenty of cornering grip gains to be worth going to a 285/30/18. If there wasn't why do the serious track guys fit 285s to the FK8? With all of the chassis stiffening improvements from Honda its an almost shoe-in for stickier wider rubber. Unsprung weight wise is fairly marginal if you downsize to an 18'' wheel too since the tire weighs only 4 lbs more. Tramlining will happen, but worth the tradeoff as someone that takes autocross a little too seriously

end up ordering Eibach Sportline...should be here today.
but car still at detailer till next week...
will post pictures as soon as install is complete...
plan to do install myself ? :crazy:
I guess you will take it for a full geometry set-up afterwards?
