So it's possible I could call my salesman tomorrow and he could say "it's still pending" as the truck driver pulls up going "*honk honk* it's a delivery of fun"?

That would be a fun surprise just before a small trip!

Funny thing: my wife's grandfather can track us on a road trip using nothing but a clock and is scary accurate. A few weeks back he texted her on our road trip home. "Whats the price of gas at [small town gas station]" just as we were passing it.

my ETA was 11/1 to 11/5, but the car showed up on 10/31.
maybe the ETA have a safety factor lol

Some of these people that have a 11/07 will be getting their cars before Monday. It is entirely possible your car is with that batch

also if you do post pictures of your car, be wary of little dudes calling you a dumbass for paying 50k+ on a civic. i'm getting absolutely flooding with comments and messages regarding that. considering to take a break and not post about my car since it does get tiring trying to ignore them. enjoy it and rip it hard

I'll be paying less than MSRP. It isn't about me. It's just the general feel of this place. Eventually it won't be all about the $. I know that.

If it a contract was built saying you will pay MSRP + Genuine Honda Accessories...

But...

To be able to purchase the car, a customer has to sign a special agreement (for the first two years) which forces her or him to offer the right of buy-back to the dealer for the original price or the fair market one. Should the owner decide to sell the vehicle to a third party and not offer the first buyback option to the dealer, then he must pay the dealer the profit resulted from the deal, together with legal fees.

Would you do that? Sort of like what Lexus did with the LFA?

I'm confused, what does 'don't know where the car is' mean? Does that mean they gave you a VIN and it's lost in transit? Wouldn't they just place you next on the allocation list or just them finding it? Or just a shady way of backing out. As Burlingame called me at $20k over twice in the past few days.

Ocean Honda of Burlingame gave me a vin with my deposit, was getting updates that the car was in Honolulu waiting for transport that was BS
ETA was before thanksgiving

Learned today car was never built no idea if they will actually receive that VIN and MSRP + 10k was only tied to that VIN they will not honor it for another VIN

not sure if it was just to get out of my 10k mark up deal or what but got my deposit back

Also - is it common that a dealership would be allocated two cars within two months when there are hundreds of others still waiting to get their first?

I understand it's all about past civic sales blah blah blah but seems a little fishy. WTF is your car doing in Honolulu? lol
