so...

the local honda rep just came in to give the sales team the rundown on the 2023 crv since we got a few in this week

i managed to catch him before i left (even left my customer at my desk while i ran over)

we spoke a bit, he said he knows of the 350 cars already in richmond, he said a few hundred are on their way over and confirmed that pricing will be out next week...

however i asked him what is taking so long...he said mainly...LOGISTICS...they have almost no truck drivers out there and train companies are on strike, so it has delayed getting them out and available to dealers

he also noted that honda is waiting for more to arrive before distributing out...although some dealers may not get any right now...they want to make sure they can send as many as they can out at once and not only 350 cars since that would barely cover a few states needing cars

some of the smaller stores will not get their first fl5 until possibly mid/end of january and said stores that have sold the most type r's are who are highest up on the list to get one (most in california and florida)

if your dealer got an LE, then your dealer will more than likely be one of the first getting one off the first batch

they SHOULD show on their november allocation, however if it does not, it does not mean one is in transit as it could possibly just be alerted to the gm/gsm a few days before it is delivered

it seems we will have a bunch of info regarding release, price and such very soon (next couple weeks) officially released by honda

There will be a few more batches of 200-300 coming sequentially over the coming month. I suspect they will have over 1k on shore by mid November. Hard part as mentioned is getting them transported to the dealers.
