That's crazy how back and forth the information has been on Honda Canada's side. Hopefully something clear comes out in the next bit

It's a gg for me I guess, not in the top 5 on any of my allocations.
with interest rate soaring with no stoppage in sight + recession, some are sure to back out
also unexpectedly high pricing will turn some away

My only shot at getting this is people backing out. BUT when the price does come online, and with all the accessories they "force" you to get. I might have to back out too. Who knows...

I had to back out of my GRC deposit, pricing was insane and I wasn’t about to pay nearly $60k for a Corolla. Hoping I don’t have to back out of this one too

Honda is selling MSRP in Canada, they told me it's illegal to sell over, so if you're in Canada, don't pay over MSRP. And accessories are optional, but I'm definitely getting some. Gotta protect your investment. I'm expecting this to be 51k MSRP. GR Corolla was way overpriced. 54k for circuit edition with that boring interior. This is worth waiting for imo.

Most cars have "mandatory" accessories, because dealers straight up just add it on. That's really the only way they earn a buck or two out of selling cars because yes, ADMs are illegal in Canada.

Unless they specifically ask you which accessories you want, you best bet they'll slap on whatever they can.

I have a good feeling about this dealership, they seem pretty honest, but I guess only time will tell. I actually have never experienced that tbh and this will be my 4th new car purchase.

The FK8 was only hard to get year 1 (addons required), after that almost no dealer required add-ons.

Dang I was feeling good, I put a deposit down at the local dealer a few weeks ago and he said I was no.1 and they were probably only gonna get one car, seeing all these posts about online crap now I'm getting nervous...

I’ve been in contact with the dealer and they’re acting like I’m the only one interested, so that’s promising. Though it is a small dealer in a small town with a lower income base where a car like the Type R wouldn’t be a highly desirable car. Don’t get too shook up over it, if they say you’re number 1 then you’re probably number 1.

I figure if it doesn’t work out, then there’ll be other cars in the future. Or I keep my Si ??‍♂

sorry to say, but that deposit doesn't really mean anything as it's not contractual.
