Another month lol.

Conditioned for bad news and delays and potentially realizing bad news and delays…

Yep, this is why I’m realistically thinking I won’t get my Type R until January or February more than likely. While I may I have spot #1 at my dealership with a deposit down, it’s a small volume dealer and this is most likely the time span it will take. Oh well, I could always try out that GR Corolla core edition for a few months! ?

Interesting...could very well have been delayed due to manufacturing delays.
I don't see any reason not to trust them, given that they gave such a specific move date of "Oct. 1".

Same. It's always possible that he could be misinformed, but I don't have any reason to believe that he's lying. He was specific and deliberate with that date. He confirmed that I'm number one on the list, as well (unprompted), so I don't believe that he's trying to brush me off. We shall wait and see!!

I would still follow up with him on Thursday. Everything the Japanese are saying is September 1st for allocations.

How many of you on waitlists are getting bombarded with dealers trying to sell you an FK8? I have gotten 3 calls in the last week, with different dealers asking, “So, I see you’re looking for the Type R?” And I’m like, “Yes, if we’re talking about the 2023…”. And then, of course, it’s…”(Long Pause)Oh, well, we just got in this used Type R, so just wanted to make sure you aren’t interested…”. I want to scream at them, but I stop myself lol.

Yeah ... 100% agree.. the local dealers down here know what they are doing ... there are two that I refuse to deal with..... very bad business practices .. Ball Honda is one and the other is Mossy Honda

Thankfully, this hasn't happened to me yet. The impression I get from my three reps is basically, "Dude, we know. You want an FL5. We'll call you, I promise! You don't have to check in every other week!"

Problem is if you unload your FK8 your going to have nothing in the at this rate.

It is in full swing my dealership just got 3 in the span of 1 week (we haven’t had any available for over 6 months).

Yea, but that is what their worth for retail. Every single one we bought back was bought for more than MSRP when new

i know. i just can't pay 50k for a car that's about to only have 1/2 year warranty left and has 20k miles on it
