Warming up

Whats going on guys. First post here. Its been cold here in maryland so i went to warm my car and wanted to go back in the house while the car warmed up. For some reason i could not get the doors to lock while i walked away. i had to be in the car with the key fob. Had no problem doing this in the 10th gen. Any body know how to get the doors to lock

You cannot lock the car from the fob with it on, idk why honda set that. to combat this, i roll my driver window down, with my key in my hand, im outside the car, press lock button on door pannel and roll up window. i have to use metal key to unlock door. note i have manual trans so i dont have the oem remote start. for those with oem remote start, lock vehicle, hold start button on remote, after starting you should be able to lock and unlock, but you have to press actual start button to prevent shut down.

Ok so once the door is locked, it cant be unlocked with key fob from the outside?

CORRECT, YOU MUST USE KEY INSIDE KEY FOB TO PHYSICALLY TURN CYLINDER.
