I’ve got a clapped out 2023 civic. Beat on it bad while tuned and blew the trans and spun a rod, accepted the mistake and just swapped them both with low mile replacements vin was checked and everything to make sure they matched fully. car has 40k miles, replacement trans has 11k, and motor has 9k. everything was swapped and has been running and driving fine besides after a 100 miles I’m now getting a p0741 code. says it can be low or old fluid but it’s a low mile trans and fresh Honda hcf2 fluid from my local dealer. Every step to check the fluid level has been done and double checked. I’m unsure if a relearn/ re calibration is needed. from my research it seems like no. I’ve removed the sensors from outside the motor from my old transmissions and used a multi meter on them while comparing to the replacement trans and everything is identical. I still swapped them since they were in perfect shape to see if it could be one of those. Soon I will be tearing the pan off then blown trans and seeing how I can access the tcc solenoid and maybe transfer that over if the condition is fine, or source a replacement. hopefully narrowing it down. cvt didn’t seem to make metal shavings or debris. otherwise it seems to be a new torque converter or replace another trans which is worse cases. I’ve done the labor once I’ll do it again. But curious if anyone has more info. note I have yet to test the car after transferring the sensors due to family visiting. I will be seeing if I can borrow a scan tool to read the tcu and check if it’s spinning at the same speed. (Note the tcu was the one from the original trans, I did not use the one from the replacement one, unsure if that could be why)
