More like, the electric Honda is benefiting from Type-R's inspiration (not the other way around).

Anyways, all the cool points regarding Type-R also applies to base model. If only Honda could give us the even lighter chassis (in sedan form) with 6-speed manual transmission and K20C2 engine. It'd be a gas powered planform that'll still frequent the racetrack when all the turbo models are overcomed by old age. And, still return hybrid-like consumption on the cruise back home from track duty.
