How many exhausts have you had in total for the FL5? It is an impressive number, I know that.
It's sad lol.
Let me see:
1. Milltek non resonated (perfect with factory downpipe)
2. Apexi (best sounding while not overly loud)
3. AWE Touring (worst one, rattle in muffler)
4. Remark Two Tip (loved it, except for the look)
5. Mugen (like it, but too quiet)
6. Milltek resonated (too raspy with RV6 Downpipe)
7. MXP (sounded great, but looked off)
8. Invidia (so deep, sounds great, but ears bleed with RV6 Downpipe)

The hardest part is finding one that looks good and sounds good but not too loud or too quiet. I think having an aftermarket downpipe has made that hard.

I was fine with milltek non resonated, but once I went RV6 catted downpipe it's been mixed emotions on what exhaust I want.

Damn that it so impressive. I cant beleive the Mugen with a downpipe does not give you what you want since it is so quiet (for an aftermarket exhaust). Yet, it may sound like total poo.

I currently have the AWE touring with stock downpipe. But I have a Innovatig catless downpipe to go on, and have no idea what it will sound when the build is done. Kuro+, fueling, etc, etc, etc......

Mugen is really deep and hard to get a recording. Best I could do here, but I shouldn't have put a mic near the intake

Well that sounds fine to me. Is that what you have ended up with? I think I had seen you selling the Mugen and then rescinded the sale. I imagine that is why, but maybe that is just a incorrect presumption. 🤔

Yeah I ended up keeping it. And still have it. Definitely not going to sell it for that reason and I wouldn't get nearly what I paid

You hit the nail on the head there regarding what you paid. Way too much imo. But I understand people wanting the "Mugen" name on their Honda's. I just feel that Mugen knows this, and they are abusing that a smidgen. 😆

Do you happen to know if the rear shroud that is offered would work with the Tomei version of the single exit? Or if theor is any others available on the market? I like the way it looks, just not a fan of the large opening and looking for a possible resolution before considering to purchase it. I figured I would ask you since you obviously know the platform regarding exhausts. Thanks

I heard someone tried and the tomei was just slightly too big and hits the shroud
