RANDOMLY SHUTTING OFF?

Okay so what I’m seeing is that it’s normal and not worth taking it to the dealer and I’m just going crazy lol

So yesterday morning i went to start my car up and it shut off right away and the security light was flashing a few times
started it back up no problem continued driving.

Later in the day i was sitting in my car for a while having a conversation and maybe after 20 minutes of sitting with the car running, it just completely turned off like if i hit the start/stop button.

Has anyone experienced something similar to this?
the car has been running perfectly fine , no rough idle or loss of power, completely perfect besides this.

This happened to me today as I was getting ready to leave my driveway. I thought I had left the keys in the house but they were still with me. I shut it off completely and started it back up with no issue. It drove just fine with no warning signs on my way to work. We’ll see what happens tonight when I leave work.

Not sure about your problem, but I've noticed the CTR will shut off if I lift off the brake and/or clutch pedal during startup before it's stabilized at idle. Now I wait a second or two of idling before releasing pedals and issue never returned.

The shutoff at 20 minutes is a safety thing. For example pulling into the garage, closing the door, leave the car running, and entering the attached house. I remember several elderly folks passing away from this issue in CT. Plenty of young, distracted drivers these days too. I never imagined leaving kids in a hot car when mine were young, but it happens a lot.

Mine shuts off too. Same thing happened at idle. Might be a way to turn it off in the settings on our dash. Maybe not but check. I didn’t really care to much to turn it off even if i could. Think its a decent feature.
