Hi everyone, my name is Adam and I'm the new owner of a 2024 Type R (CBP) in Dallas, TX. This is my first Honda, though I used to drive a friend's AP1 S2000 years ago. Most recently, I owned a Tesla Model 3 Performance, on which I installed Mountain Pass Performance sport coilovers and other upgrades. Prior to the Tesla, I also owned a 2017 Shelby GT350 and multiple GTIs, R32s and Audi RS models, all with track time.
Fell in love with the new CTR after the design was more grown up than the FK8, and really appreciate what the car stands for in this world. I was between the CTR or a new or pre-owned F or G series M3. Needed a manual transmission and 4 doors for the kids, and have no commute. Ultimately decided that the BMWs were getting too fat and I wanted something more extreme given that I don't do much required driving.
Looking forward to bringing the car to AutoX events in Dallas and hopefully Eagle's Canyon, MSR and potentially COTA in the coming years. My home track was Sebring before I moved to Dallas. I prepped the Tesla for the track but Covid and having a baby put the brakes on that plan.
As someone new to Honda and Type R's, I've been lurking here learning more about the potential upgrades to the car and things that are unique to Hondas, such as jailbreaking ECUs which are different to VW products. But first, my goal is to improve the stance of the CTR.
I'm considering:
Also if anyone's in the Dallas area I'd love to learn about meetups.

I'm considering:
- Springs (still researching Swift vs Spoon vs H&R)
- I had Springs on my B7 RSR and MK7 GTI
- Much more cost effective than the following but like to cohesive package of COs
- Coilovers (LOVED my COs on the Tesla, they were a modified KW V3)
- I know Ohlins are a great company but see many other manufacturers that I'm not familiar with from my Euro history
- Are any of those COs the quality of KW/Ohlins?
- Spacers
- Looks like there are folks here with everything from 10mm to 25mm (stock wheels)
- Will need to look again if I proceed with...
- Not ready to look at new wheels yet with better offset
- Wider tires (trade my 265s for 275s to put some more meat on them)
- Any advice on how to sell my 265s? I've posted on CL and FBM but curious if there are buyers here.
- Accord rearview mirror with dimming/Homelink
- Rear wiper delets
- SPOON Rigid Collar Kit
- This one is new to me, don't recall an equivalent for Audi/VW
- Rear trans mount/dogbone
- Exhaust
- Only looking for a mild upgrade
- Perhaps the answer is resonator deletes, but not sure what each resonator does
Also if anyone's in the Dallas area I'd love to learn about meetups.
