Hello to everyone here at civicxi.com!
I just joined, but thought I would introduce myself to any Aussies here!
I am actually the Assistant Sales Manager at a Honda dealership in North Brisbane and have been following the production of the FL5 very closely.
I guess I would be considered the CTR specialist here...though only unofficially haha.
A bit of my car background I guess.
I have owned a LOT of cars and bikes over the years, ranging from old shitboxes to some really nice cars I wish I still had!
Currently, this is my garage:
- Honda Civic Type-R FN2 - LSD Update. One owner, completely original, great condition inside and out, low kms, just a gem of a car...love or hate the shape!
- Holden Rodeo - heavily modified and surprisingly powerful...this is my daily as I don't care what happens to it and it is surrounded by barwork...so hit me at your peril!
- Kia Rio - don't judge me...car for the girlfriend to potter around in.
- Honda CB300 - my daily bike...cheap and fun.
- Honda CBR954RR FireBlade - Heavily modified and at the wheels, is 1000hp/tonne...so terrifying to ride and I love it.
I have been looking for a decent Civic Type-R club around here, but even online, nothing seems to really be based locally which is frustrating.
Through work, I had spearheaded the pre-orders of the FL5 and am really looking forward to Thursday and the final release date.
With demos not expected until February...it is still a long wait for me haha.
Once the car comes in though, I have all intention on trying to get to some meetings with both my FN2 and the FL5.
I look forward to being able to contribute here in some way or another!
