Let me preface this review by saying I have never installed or used a dash cam in my life. So this was an entirely new experience for me. So pardon my current placement of the camera.
This is a review of the Redtiger F17 Elite. The F17 Elite is Redtiger’s premium offering. The F17 Elite is a 3 channel cam. It uses Starbis 2 for the night vision
The front is 4K
Inside is 1080, it records in color and recirds sound
The Rear is 2.5k
The camera has 3” screen.
Everything you need comes in the the packaging. And also Includes a 128 GB memory card. Which is a nice bonus. It does include a hard wire kit but I was not down to try that initially. So I’m using the 12v
Here’s the unboxing
Everything is clearly labeled organized. The user manual is packed with information.
Installation was simple but did take me a bit longer as the rear camera power cord. I router the “long “ way and ended up being just a bit too short, but after going a different direction I had ample cord length.
It does have an 18 month limited warranty
It really has a ton of features and settings that can all be adjusted. Voice commands as well.
Length of videos can be 1, 3, or 5 mins
The size of the 1 minute videos in order of quality ~230 MB, ~120, and ~80 for the interior cam.
The app does work well but it took some time to navigate it quickly. You can download videos to your phone and the app at a fairly quick pace.
Here are a few snapshots
Field of view is large , don’t mind the far left, eventually I’ll find a better placement. Installer error
Interior shot at 4 am I was really impressed with the interior cam during day or night.
About 25 feet away but I couldn’t see the plate with my own eyes, so no fault to the camera here
And a couple front day time pics
