Just installed Mugen window vents, and it’s leaking rain in a couple of areas.

Any repair advice aside from removing and redoing the whole install?

TIA

I have the same visors, but no leak issues.

Removing them is going to be tricky given all the body tape, but if you’re not able to achieve a seal in the areas where you have leaks, reinstall will likely be required.

Did you clean the areas well with alcohol before install? Hitting the leaking areas with a little heat before applying pressure might help.

if you do need to take them off, use some heat before threading nylon fishing line behind the body tape so you get a cleaner removal and lower your risk of cracking the visors.

After a few days of no rain I’ll try to heat the problem areas and re-apply pressure ?

If this doesn’t work I might have to go Honda Window Visors

No offense, but OEM visors will leak too if you’re not meticulous about the install process—it’s tedious, and they’re all going to require getting ~2’ of body tape to stick continuously on 4 separate windows. It’s truly not an easy job.

The Mugen visors are worth the effort, even if you have to remove, cut/apply your own fresh tape, etc., just don’t get too creative and try to add additional tape or sealant to avoid the re-do.
