Hello everyone,

I’m planning to change the engine oil on my 2025 Civic Type R. After a rebuild, it’s finally time to take care of some technical maintenance.

The car has very low mileage — just 6,000 km — and I’m planning to use Motul 8100 Eco-clean 0W-20 engine oil. For coolant, I’m considering the Honda Genuine Type 2 pre-mixed antifreeze.

Unfortunately, in my country, these products are either very expensive or — in the case of the coolant — not available at all. As a result, I will need to order them online from abroad. I’ve attached pictures of the products I plan to use.

Will these match the requirements of the car? Is this a safe decision?

The car is a daily driver. It may see the track twice a year, but for the most part, it's used for regular daily driving and some spirited runs through suburban twisties.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, pertaining to the coolant.
As far as oil, pick the flavor of your choice.

I use 5W-30 synthetic oil. The higher viscosity is better for bearing life.

For coolant, I've used Prestone in my Honda's for nearly a million total miles without problems. The Prestone I use says it is for "all cars". It's green color vs Honda's blue, but the two seem compatible. I used to buy Honda's coolant until my dealer tripled the price. I've never had to replace a Honda water pump, so the cheaper Prestone seems fine in that regard too.
