Just picked up my 2024. On the drive home I noticed that nothing happens when I press the drive mode either direction or the R mode button. No errors or messages, just nothing.

Anything to check that they may have missed during PDI?

Congratulations on your ride.

Since you just picked it up, you should take it back to the dealer and let them make it right for you.

That's obviously the fall back option, but I'm trying to avoid it (if it could be something simple like a fuse) since they are a bit of a drive away.

In this case, you will need to watch some tutorials on how to remove the metal trim where the mode selector sits.

If nothing is disconnected, then you will need to figure out why your drive mode buttons are not working. Is the Brake Hold button working at the very least?

It sounds like this was missed during PDI as it is obviously a required item. Maybe the dealer can get with you on a video call to save you a drive if it's something simple they missed?

If they determine it's simply broken then you should be able to just take it to any dealership and have it fixed under warranty I'd assume.

Of course they checked it off on my PDI sheet, makes me real confident in the rest of it.

I made an appointment at the local dealer, we'll see what they say.

Took it to a local dealer. Wasn't plugged in...all good now. Not sure how that happens / doesn't get caught.

Sounds like someone pencil whipped at least that portion of the PDI. Glad it worked out though and it's not a larger issue.
