I want to share this trick to fix the auto idle stop problems many people have:

This fix probably works for all Hondas. I have a 2026 Honda Civic Si and was frustrated that the "auto idle stop" wouldn't work after I had used a trickle charger on my battery. I took the steps without first warming up the car---I just came out in the morning and opened the hood, started the car and saw the "hood open" message, turned the car off, closed the hood, then got back in and started the car up again. It worked like a charm!

I have a 2022 Civic Touring. In early 2023, I installed a small electronic device that bypasses the Idle-Stop annoying issue. The device is called "Idle-Stopper" and costs under 100USD. It takes about 20 minutes up to 40 minutes depending on what Honda model vehicle you have like the Passport, Odyssey, CR-V. As for the 11th Gen Civic it is simple as it is hidden under the center console and connects to the 12Vdc lighter wiring without any wire splicing. It keeps the Idle-Stop in the always OFF condition. But if you want it to be On, just push the Idle-Stop button. Idle-Stopper just applies a small voltage signal telling the system to stay off. Think of it as a self-applied Toggle switch that remembers the last State you wanted your Idle-Stop to be in On or Off. It does not void any Honda Warranty and does not draw any current from the car battery. No one will ever know that Idle-Stopper is installed unless you tell them.
