Only the hybrid trims (Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid) will have body matching trim pieces under the headlights and middle section of the front spoiler, so it's safe to assume the non-hybrid trim pieces will be blacked out.

I did a quick and dirty photoshop and I think the non-hybrid trims will look pretty sharp! I actually think it looks sportier like this and wished it was this way instead of the other way around.

It's June now, so hopefully we get some new content soon!

I actually really like the blacked-out look on the LX. Nice photoshop!

I agree the blacked out looks better than the body color which frames the upper grille area and makes it look too small.

So far I've only spotted one new post-refresh civic on the road and it was a non-hybrid trim - really impatiently waiting for the full reviews and instrumented tests of the hybrid trims to see what kind of performance upgrade the hybrid has over the 1.5T - so far all I've really read was either Motortrend or C&D mentioning that the civic hybrid felt quicker than the Accord hybrid to them which could mean a 0-60 time reduction of almost a second or more over the 1.5T potentially.

The advertising I've seen from Honda is really leaning into the powerful/quick/fast verbiage for the hybrid civic.
