  1. Payload Limit on FL5 for Long Road Trip

Agreed , I always looked at it as a convenient '3rd seat' for when theres more than 2 people riding in the car but its product parameters just leave it with the worst 'road trip' score especially with the size gas tank they stuck us with ;)
  2. What did you pay for your Spring install in your area ?

Thanks for this thread as I'm presently also pricing out shops for a spring install and seeing the same wide deviance as well in pricing ? Maybe its NYC inflation but the shop closest to me but with the best reputation was the cheapest ($500-600) while the one 'everyone recommended' told me...
  3. SPC part# 67476 Rear Camber Passanger side install issue

I'm debating going this route instead of the SPC/Eibach upper camber arm, but I hear these arms are really for Toe adjustment vs camber , did you have any issues getting it aligned and asking the person for more negative camber in the rear ? Did you also do the lower RV6 arm? Thanks
  4. Do you regret any mods?

It's a near perfect street car IMO, if you don't need to do a lot of deep snow driving. I think the issue is when you decide you need "camber". That's usually the gateway to all these $$ wasting I mean modding ;) Also helps when you start tracking the car, auto crossing, etc or should I say...
  5. FL5 Lowering Springs

Researching springs and debating between the Eibach's vs the Swift's, I value more track performance than street compliance which be the one to go with ? Also I found that with lowered cars usually call for a 'roll center correction' kit to really compensate for the drop (when I installed these...
  6. 2026 FL5 Speculation Thread

I keep seeing all the Japanese YouTube car people review Acura Integra Type S's, I wouldn't be surprised if they 'exported' a few out of USA to sell over there once FL5 starts sunsetting...
  7. Pinch Weld Lift Pads - ZL1 vs Versus

I just used a $12 rubber jack pad from Amazon with the indentions for pinch welds and thats held up pretty well.
  8. Running EBC SR-11 brake pads as a dual purpose pad?

I think I can contribute cuz I just installed a set of SR11s and ran them at 2 track days the last 2 weeks. Once warmed up , they are really nice. However I think the Carbotech’s have a slight edge in terms of bite. THe XP10s I had on previous cars were a little noisier however the SR11 are...
  9. Paragon P3 bed-in process

Eh the P3’s aren’t that aggressive, I think you’d be fine ‘breaking in’ with daily driving. Typically that type of ’thermal break in’ is for more aggressive pads so as others have said ensure a layer of transfer. However IME you really only can do that effectively at the track because once you...
  10. FL5 Civic Type R - ZL1 Addons Rọck Guards ANY GOOD? (Those who are thinking of buying)

I have the ZL1 rock guards and I like them a lot. Adds some protection without sticking out too much (like rally armor)
  11. Paragon brake pad for 90% commuter, 10% autox/HPDE

Ya that sounds pretty good actually lol
  12. Paragon brake pad for 90% commuter, 10% autox/HPDE

Thanks for the heads up ! I looked around for those but couldnt find a good price/place to order. Do these Z type last pretty long ?
  13. What did you do to your FL5 today?

Not today but the other day while hanging out at my friends wrap shop they convinced me to try pinstripes, wasn’t originally going to but once they were done they’ve slowly began to grown on me. Def helps mine stand out
  14. Paragon brake pad for 90% commuter, 10% autox/HPDE

Thanks , blues for the rear seem hard to find at the moment , do you guys think I’d be fine with stock rear pads with SR11 at least for the first 1-2 track days ?
  15. Paragon brake pad for 90% commuter, 10% autox/HPDE

im thinking about going with the SR11 for a dual track day/backroads street setup - which rear pad are you using?
  16. Scan tool for EPB

When I had a Corvette a lot of the forum guys had luck with inexpensive android based OBD tools , especially the Launch Creador Elite. It was only around $120, and it allowed all the GM dealer specific functions like NPP valve relearns and transmission flushes, it was a great tool. I saw they...
  17. 2023 Civic Type R Waitlist / Deposit / Reservations List - Check in here!

Yea mine came in on the wire day of 12/31/24. I was able to track it with the info from @roastduck but once the train made it to the local depot I had to rely on the salesperson to give me updates as to when transport was expected. Luckily everything appeared on track and there was minimal delay...
  18. Engine ran without oil for unknown period of time (short time) - Honda Dealership did not torque drain plug and it fell out while driving.

Just curious if you opened a case with corporate. They don’t always ‘just side with the dealer’ , especially if you’re within lemon law protection etc , I’ve seen people involve corporate and open cases for missing parts for routine service and then get satisfaction. It’s not only for ‘big...
  19. Plug and Play Homelink Mirror for FL5 -- 1 Hr Install

Glad to have completed this project as my first mod - thanks to the OP for sharing all the info. I lucked out and found a take-off 2025 CRV Hybrid auto dimming ONLY mirror (no Homelink) on eBay for $50 which is fine because I do not have a garage. It fit perfectly minus a tab on this CRV mirror...
