Such a copy paste response from them. But that's what I would expect lol.
"We don't have any information about the exhaust system....but we did make it and install it on the car..." LOL
I'll be surprised if anything is announced this year for that. I'm holding off on an exhaust until all...
Woah that's intense! The recirculation part is a good idea!
Oh and I have my tires filled at 40 psi. I also have wheel chalks for the rear as I do not have my e-brake engaged. And the car is in neutral.
Apologies for the late reply, life is busy!
Thank you all for the input and suggestions. I have the battery on a NOCO genius charger. I also decided not to add fuel stabilizer. The car is garaged and the tank is topped off. I'm hoping to drive it sometime in March.
I had no idea VP fuels...
Hey everyone, been a while!
I just prepped the car for winter storage in my garage. Should be about 4 months or so.
I took it out for a nice drive and got some gas to top it off.
After I parked the car in the garage. I was going over the car exterior and interior. Then I decided to check...
Still nothing from Honda. But MotorTrend updated their 2026 Type R page from "Coming Soon" to a writeup of what they are expecting for 2026 (price and other changes). So not sure if they got something on the side from Honda, but there's that lol...
I haven’t done anything about it yet. I dont normally drive around 70mph for extended periods. I'll most likely rotate my tires as a first step.
Since I have a 2025, there is no worm gear/steering recall. This vibration was from the factory.
Hope you hear back from the dealer/Honda. Would...
Thankfully there are some dealers that carry the RTA-003 as well, which is where I bought them. But as long as the seller on Amazon is good and reputable, then it's generally fine. You might even find sellers on Amazon that are Honda/Acura dealers.
I have always purchased my Honda coolant...
Yeah dont know why they can't paint it before assembling the base plate lol. I have the one pictured installed right now. Oh well, at least the threads aren't coming out LOL.
Im hoping the paint will just melt from the heat of the oil, or it will be caught by the filter since it's on the...
The Honda break-in oil blend at factory was a thing back in the day. The way I know is it specifically stated in my owners manual under the Break-In Period....not to change the oil until the scheduled maintenance time.
This was well over 15 years ago. I did just that for the first oil change...
Yep agreed with the QC. Only thing I found so far is some blue paint overspray on the base plate of the RTA-003. Pictured in my original post. I ended up using that one. Since the second RTA I had was worse 😞.
It's interesting you mentioned oil pressure with this filter. With the factory...
A good example of the metal shavings I have consistently seen on the A02 filters is at the 1:30 mark in this video. He tried to pull it out later in the video.
Hey! Just a heads up to look over your filters, especially the threads.
I have been doing this just out of habit. But in the last 4 years or so, the A02 filters have really bad QC. I have seen many with metal shavings and burrs on the threads. Some I couldn't take off and were large.
Some...
I just experienced a similar thing. You can feel the buzzing in the steering wheel. Almost like a pulsing buzz as you accelerate hard. Feels weird. This was in 3rd and I was able to replicate multiple times on the road.
Is this a normal occurrence on the FL5?
Mine is a few months old and 1k...
Yeah that could be. I was just wondering about any in transit also. What's weird is there is still no official announcement or update on Honda's site. There is usually some newsroom article that comes out.
Again that could also be related to the spotlight they want to put on the Prelude...
Thanks for the input! Yeah its pretty weird. Kinda bummed out to be honest.
I understand these cars take a long journey to get here. Going through changing temps and inclement weather sometimes.
Although I live in an area that uses salt. The car will be stored away during winter as its...
Interesting, thanks for the info! I didnt know they used seam sealer on the subframe. Looked up some pics online and I do find seam sealer around the engine bay and wheel wells.
Most colors used are black white Grey and beige. So not sure what is causing this color or even why the paint is...
Sorry, not exactly sure what you mean by seam sealer, but it looks like rust all along the welds of the subframe.
Worth noting the car was picked up less than a day after it arrived. Only minimal PDI done (body plugs, backup camera fuse, tire pressure) thats it. I didnt even have them put...
