Hi all. ‘24 1.5t 6mt, 32000mi, if I accelerate heavily then let off the gas quickly, I get a loud rattle from the engine bay for about a half second while the revs drop from 6-5k. Easily reproducible in 1st/2nd it does it every time.
wondering if anyone else has this issue and if they were able...
Just to add my $0.02, I had both my rear tires leak down to 18psi and my 'tpms' never alerted me. More recently one was down to 22psi before I noticed it looked low. So I don't really trust the indirect tpms. But haven't installed any aftermarket cap sensors either. I just have to check and...
Had a passenger yesterday that hit the edge of the door with their bag and it chipped a nice chunk of paint off, right at the pinch seam of the door. Do I need to worry about the door rusting, or are they aluminum?

Did a little inspecting today and found what looks like weeping around the clutch slave cylinder. A bit of black muck that feels oily on my fingers (red arrows). And the boot looks discolored, and I scratched off the yellow tint with my fingernail (yellow arrow).
Brake fluid...
I got my sport touring in february, so got a couple weeks of salt and whatnot, didn't notice any staining
Buuuut I will say I haven't been very impressed with the leather which sucks because I really wanted it.
This is the back seat back in february when I'd had the car for about 3 days and...
Microfiber snagging on the switch sounds plausible, if extremely unlucky :(
Re: the steering wheel, Ive heard of sunlight being focused by windows/mirrors on someone else's car/house, glass/plastic containers, can be strong enough to melt plastic and burn fabric and start house fires...
Any idea how this happened? Could you have dropped something onto the switch? That thing is shattered. Concerning for sure
Pics of the trim around the steering wheel?
Also do you use lotion/sunscreen? That can eat plastic and make it brittle/melt
Do the non FL5/sport/sport touring models have this feature?
I haven't stalled my car in a long time. But I remember while learning, whenever I would stall my ST at an intersection, I'd have to (in a panic) turn off the car, wait a few seconds for it to boot down, then clutch in and wait a...
Hi all,
Not sure if I'm just not able to read the dipstick correctly, but I'm pretty sure my level is way too high on my '24 sport touring. I'm concerned about oil dilution. Oil reaches about a mm or 2 above the orange readout (!) on the dipstick. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but i love this car...
Old thread but yea I get this too on my '24 sport touring @ 10k mi
It completely sounds like it's coming from the rear though, almost like a diff clunking back there, obviously that's not the case... it could be me being lazy on the clutch though I usually tend to hear it when almost home after...
Some lovely guy in a lifted pickup truck tailgated me for about 10 seconds, (going 75 in 55 zone, keeping up with the guy in front of me) sped around me and chucked a coffee at my car ('24 sport touring). Thankfully it hit the windshield and not the hood/paint but it covered my car in very milky...
Interesting, I figured it was turning on/off the A/C compressor as needed based on temperature setting. Really strange that it just runs it all the time especially nowadays with emissions and whatnot. I'll give this a try the next time I notice the problem, thanks
I do have this feature too, it's not enabled though.
Testing it out, it's pretty bizarre that you can have max heat out one vent and max A/C out the other vent. It works quite well.
Hey everyone,
My auto climate control seems to always blow cold. This happened throughout the winter and is still happening now in the summer. Usually a while into a drive, I'll realize im pretty cold with the thermostat set to 72, so ill raise it to 75.. still blowing cold, raise it to 80...
I found these 'JDM-style' black badges, basically type-R badges but black instead of red. I really like how they look, the chrome matches the exhaust tips but the black background matches the rest of the black badges/trim. Did this as an alternative to simply putting on a black H-mark. Very...
