  1. Seatbelt Retractor Trim Removal

Thanks for the info! I was able to reset the rivet for the reinstallation. I will visit my dealer for a replacement just in case. I am still baffled about how to properly remove it though. Brute force with a screwdriver blade doesn't seem to be the best alternative. Hints welcome!
  2. Seatbelt Retractor Trim Removal

Found it! The white button is a trim rivet's center section and the expanding rivet is not fully released by pulling it back. I was able to get a screwdriver from the side of the panel under the rivet and pry it out. Bad design with a very non-standard rivet.
  3. Seatbelt Retractor Trim Removal

The seat belt allows my body to go forward under heavy braking on the track making steering difficult. I am trying to put on a device that holds the seatbelt from reeling out. So, I am trying to remove the seatbelt retractor cover panel between the front and rear windows. I removed the...
  4. OBD not connecting after recall work

Found the problem. My TrackAddict app on my phone was apparently corrupted. I had uninstalled and did a fresh install with no luck, same problem. This time I did the uninstall, shutdown the phone, did a fresh install. Bingo, this worked. I'm guessing some type of memory corruption that was...
  5. OBD not connecting after recall work

Took my baby in for the steering recall and the OBD reader that I use with the TrackAddict app will no longer connect. It worked well before the recall fix. The Bluetooth connects but will not connect to the ECU. I purchased a replacement and it shows the same problem. The BT connection to the...
  6. Removing Left Rear Camber Arm '24 FL5

Had to postpone this due to no availability of car lifts to get it high enough to drop the subframe. Relegated to the todo list.
  7. Removing Left Rear Camber Arm '24 FL5

Thanks so much for the part#. I'll call my local dealer's part desk for the part. Looks like it is used in 3 places in the rear suspension, two of them having easy access. Now, if I can only figure out how to remove that old bolt.
  8. Removing Left Rear Camber Arm '24 FL5

Any idea what the thread pitch is? Thinking about cutting the bolt in the middle and replacing with either the Honda replacement or a Grade 8 bolt.
  9. Removing Left Rear Camber Arm '24 FL5

I *think* that I have an answer to my own question. The bolt is merely too long. On the left side there are 2 bolts. The outer bolt for the knuckle is about 1" (OK 24mm) longer than the inner bolt since the knuckle is much thicker being an aluminum casting. It appears that the that the wrong...
  10. Removing Left Rear Camber Arm '24 FL5

Replacing the stock rear camber arms with adjustable SPC arms. The left rear, rumored to be challenging, was time consuming but got the new arm installed. I moved to the right and released it from the knuckle but the inner bolt is hitting the gas tank with about 1/2" still in the bushing...
  11. Fourth to third shift, 75ish MPH

Unfortunately, rev match doesn't prevent a 5 to 3 downshift (ask me how I know). Over revving with the light load of deceleration is not as bad as over revving under full throttle, though maybe I think that to relieve myself of the guilt.
