Thanks all, received the faraday pouch and a waterproof bag. The faraday pouch works perfectly, just turn off the lockout protection like the video showed and the CTR will lock. I'm going to test both tho as additional piece of mind by having the keyfob on me while surfing, for sure no one...

Thanks fellas! Appreciate the support and suggestions. I think I’ll spend a bit of cash to figure it out but in my cart is a waterproof bag for a key fob as well as a faraday bag. Hopefully this all works out.

I know what you mean. I love the longboard waves of Waikiki but it’s too much with the hierarchy there. Haleiwa is still a great spot, definitely crowded. I like Ehukai too, get to surf near pipe and the pros but not deal with too much of a line up. I normally hit dawn patrol and back to town...

Oahu. Right? Where you gonna go if you jacked my car? There isn’t a high number of these on the road. I mostly surf south shore but will make the journey to north shore when it isn’t super crazy.

Thanks, it’s a risk I’m willing to take as I usually surf solo and at a pretty crowded beaches. I used to do this all the time with my BRZ and hide the fob in discreet locations in the car. I will buy one of those waterproof pouches and figure it out, but I’d rather do that as more of an option...

Late to the party, but wanted to ask, this is the OEM Honda roof racks you installed? Any reason why you chose these over Thule or Yakima racks? I've been thinking about this too to carry my longboards.
