That would be awesome, thanks! Exhausts for the FL5 aren't cheap, so it's a big help to get real-world feedback before pulling the trigger. Coming from a VB WRX, it's definitely a shift (parts for the FL5 are pricier and there just aren’t as many video reviews out there yet).
I've been tied up...
Anyone have the new HKS Hi-Power? I think I'm between the HKS Legamax, Hi-Power, and Kakimoto KR. I'm looking for more of a refined, deep tone with no drone and mild volume (louder than stock, but not too loud or obnoxious).
Most exhausts I've heard sound like they're between a Dyson vacuum...
An easy calculation to make for California is to add 12% to the car’s sale price for taxes, title, and licensing (I’ve confirmed the 12% figure with the last few cars we’ve bought from dealerships here in SoCal). At $46k MSRP that puts the Type R at about $52k out the door.
I’ve talked to a few Cali folks who are buying FL5s for MSRP from the east coast (NJ) and having them shipped here for ~$1400. Still comes out cheaper than most markups here, but having to go through that hassle for a brand new $50k+ car after tax/title/licensing still rubs me the wrong way…...
Just wanted to give an update on the situation here in the west coast. For the most part, dealerships around here (California) are up to the same shenanigans as before. Turns out the "MSRP sale" the Irvine dealership salesman told me about that I mentioned in a prior post was totally bogus.
It...
Enjoyed this read, thanks for the comparison! Cross shopping the two, the GRC just felt too small for my taste. My 2022 WRX Limited has ample rear seating for adults so it’s quite a big downgrade in terms of practicality.
I think it’s better to look at the GRC as a 5 door 2 seater that just...
Hold strong folks. Someone here mentioned a boost blue model in Irvine, CA a week or two ago and after calling the salesman told me it sold that same day for MSRP. I'm still patiently shopping for one in California at MSRP, preferably in championship white.
Called a few dealers here in California to check if they were still riding their high horses and was able to talk down markups from as high as $15k to $5k without much effort at all. I'm committed to finding one at MSRP or not buying at all, so it looks like patience is paying off. It's a matter...
