This sounds like a horrible nightmare to wake up to…gapped and locked by Camrys and Accords.
To think back in the day I dreamed about having an ITR with 195HP too lmao
Not sure why this is often a touchy subject. I owned old Integra as well as the new; we always know that Acura is the luxury branch of Honda and not separate competing entities. We should be celebrating the enhancement of Honda with Acura as the right hand.
As I see the ITS is a blessing for...
Sorry late reply. I’ll sell it to you for half of what Honda is selling them for. Not here to rip and charge what they charge. What part of the US? Would you pay for shipping? If so it’s a done deal
All you need to do is loosen the bolt. Once loosened there’s a slotted bracket that you can pull the RMM down from and then unscrew the bolt. Installation is the same way, don’t tighten, leave a few millimeters gap to slot the bolt back in, then tighten
Civic Type R and Integra Type S are basically twin cousins. I think they both look great. I was always going to get an Integra regardless if it’s an R or an S.
Comes down to your personal preference and the price out the door you can get one of these for. They’re both extremely fun to drive...
For me personally I hoped ITS wouldn’t be a coupe and glad it isn’t. I have three children and the ginormous rear space is very welcome (I owned a 2000 Integra). Acura is a luxury branch of Honda so any hopes of a completely designed and differentiated Integra wouldn’t have happened as the R&D...
ITS could be had for msrp from early on. My dealer was MSRP back in July and I picked it up. Glad you didn’t pay 20k in add-ons even 5k over MSRP is ridiculous. For me personally type R or type S wasn’t relevant, I’ve been waiting for the Integra revival for 20 years having owned on from 2000...
I assume you’re talking about polyurethane plastics. But PRL is the only one that uses EDPM rubber. Rubbers in general absorb vibration much better with a much higher temperature tolerance
I don’t speak for the entire community. Just sharing that i haven’t heard of anyone wanting to swap ads to the CTR. Most ITS owners are older with families; I have children so driving comfort is top priority.
Yes the ITS seats don’t hug the driver while powering through corners it’s a shame. I...
by those part numbers they would be indeed be 700 Newtons which is 84% more than the DE5 380 newtons.
I’m guess the Type R hatch and wing are much heavier? Looks like you’ll want to go with Stabilus 900N or you to 1300N for some very strong support lifts that will pull open the hatch on its own...
Came across this thread and this brings me back to my 2000 Integra days where the hatch lift supports were too weak. I replaced them with Stabilus supports and those were impressively strong and smooth.
the Integra DE5 also uses Stabilus supports. I have no idea what the FL5 uses but perhaps...
As an ITS DE5 owner and recent experience with dealerships, it’s a nightmare with many backordered parts. I have slight anxiety with getting into any type of accident as I don’t want the car to be out of commission for months.
Acura has also been trying to keep up with production (built in the...
Did some live field testing and figured I’d share my results with the community:

PRL RMM has been excellent. After two weeks the NVH has gotten even better
thanks for posting the video and providing information. I’ve been pondering the TR2 cams for the DE5, looking at a MHI stage 2 or Kuro turbo upgrade with the supporting bolt on mods. However I won’t be doing fuel system upgrade.
I have no experience with cam upgrades and have heard that it’s...
certainly, perhaps many don’t realize this Honda’s explanation and design intent. I understand why many seasoned drivers don’t like it.
now seeing that it’s geared towards new drivers or slower casual shifting drivers during hard acceleration I can see why it’s beneficial and quite possibly has...
Thaf is because traditionally timing is the important skill needed when upshifting and downshifting. Timing is less important for new drivers with Rev-matching and Rev Hang. For more seasoned drivers trying to shift quickly the rpm isn’t going to drop fast enough for smooth shifts, you’d...
