In November 2013 ordered a 6MT I still own only mod is HFP shocks and running pilot 4s
I would buy out of state at MSRP and gladly pay shipping or better yet enjoy the drive home on a new CTR. I refuse to pay California dealers a mark-up or for accessories I never wanted.
It all comes down to choices, nothing against people who do pay it all.
Did things change I bought 8yr/120K warranty from Saccucci for my Fk8 in April 2019, and Dublin Honda can see the extended warranty in their system.
stories were given to me by Concord Honda that sold me FK8 (MSRP) that I cannot buy extended warranty out of state. Total BS!

Yeah 5K or once in a year is a good practice for oil Change I do get wheel alignment with it
first oil change on my CTR was done at 4500 miles with oil life at 40%
before the maintenance minders and synthetic oil it was 3K intervals never had any issues of low oil pressure lights
the adrenaline rush of owning S2K for the first time will be powerful. Instead of getting it shipped I would make a vacation out of it.
Will line up fluid changes, new tires & alignment etc. route planning to include tail of the dragon. Enjoy scenic pit stops along the way…. discover driving...
I bought my FK8 in march 2019 at MSRP from Concord Honda, but it was after reaching out to all the NorCal & SoCal Honda dealers that wanted me to come into the dealership to talk price...they were starting at $5K over MSRP.
My position was you have my offer of MSRP either accept or deny it but...
