  1. Recall: 2023 Civic Type R (FL5) Driver's Seat Cushion Frame Stop Sale (TSB Service Bulletin 23-030)

Okay thanks. So yours hasn’t been repaired I assume. It’s a littl hard to tell from the picture angle, but I don’t see an inner fillet weld. It looks like just haz From the weld on the outer side of the seat. Hopefully I can get one or two more pictures from others 630 and under w/o repair. I’m...
  2. Recall: 2023 Civic Type R (FL5) Driver's Seat Cushion Frame Stop Sale (TSB Service Bulletin 23-030)

Ignore the picture of the seat frame with the two red arrows. Here’s a picture with the correct location marked for the weld location I’m referring to on the left side of drivers seat. There is a duplicate weld on the right side of that seat, but I put no arrow pointing to it.
  3. Recall: 2023 Civic Type R (FL5) Driver's Seat Cushion Frame Stop Sale (TSB Service Bulletin 23-030)

I’m speculating that the problem weld is where a round cross bar is welded to the two side plates on the seat. Here is a picture of a fillet weld on the inner side of my drivers seat. This is the inside left side of the seat looking from the front. These welds are near the front of the seat...
  4. Is FL5 suspension too firm for daily driving (in comfort mode)?

I had the blocks removed by the dealer at 59 miles. I hit some rough roads, railroad tracks, etc beforehand. There’s no damage I can notice. I believe it’s possible there’s damage that will lead to premature upper shock mount failure, but it’s not likely. I’m not worried about it. The...

Hey. Maybe this is posted some when it I couldn’t find it. I usaually by my parts from an online dicount dealer. There always a nice system tk drill down and find the pet you need. But now it seems the only pets available this way are accessories. I may be able to call and ask for pet numbers...
  6. Transport Blocks PSA: make sure your dealer removes suspension transport blocks before taking delivery!

Had the same problem.. I’d heard that comfort mode was stiff, but it was much stiffer than I expected. As soon as I got home I googled how to recalibrate the suspension modes thinking I might could soften it. Came upon another thread on here and saw a post about the blocks. Went to look and...
  7. Is FL5 suspension too firm for daily driving (in comfort mode)?

Okay, thanks.! Dealer is local, so I’ll take the car back and let them finish the PDI. I didn’t even look over the PDI checklist, but I’ll do that this morning. I wonder what else was overlooked.?
  8. Is FL5 suspension too firm for daily driving (in comfort mode)?

I’m glad I stumbled across your post @spacetimeglitch. I just picked up my new FL5 today and thought the ride was unexpected stiff in comfort mode. Read your comment, ran out to check and sure enough, dealer failed to remove the transport blocks on the front springs. I checked the rears and...
