How common is it? I've really only seen praise for the FL5 seats. I find them very comfortable. Several long 5 hours drives and i feel great at the end of the trip.
The only complaint comes from my wife, who likes to sit with her legs folded on long drives and finds the side bolstering gets in...
Fk8 eibach sportlines. I have 265/35 ad09s which runs a little wider than the ps4s I believe and have not had any rubbing so far. I got them from a distributor here in Nz.
Also in the photos below my iphone does horrible things to the white on sunny days.
This probably isn't helpful, but assuming they carry over the same clearances throughout there different models, it may give you an idea. I have the zr10 in 18x9.5 +38 and brake clearance is fine. The front poked a tiny bit at stock height. Now that it is lowered there is no poke.
To be sure...
I agree to a point. Looks traditional in the sense that it looks like a 2nd gen 4 door crx(not a bad thing) and the FL5 looks more like a liftback/fast back. But neither are traditional like a corolla or a golf.
To be fair, I was stooping to the level of the OP and got carried away.

For example look at the image from the above thread. Your argument is ridiculous. If anything the FK8 looks more 'SUV' than the FL5.
Don't get me wrong I like the FK8, but for me the rear end of...
No mate, what he is saying is that the tail lights of the FK8 are clearly larger and extend further down the rear, then the seam line your referring to as being the top of the bumper is lower on the FK8 due to the size and position of the tail lights.
For me the top of the bumper is where the...
I had a mk7.5 golf before my FL5. I loved it, but the only issue was I had to fold the back seats down to fit golf clubs into the boot. When shopping for the FL5 I considered the mk8 golf R and Cupra Leon, but couldn't get over folding the back seats down to fit the golfclubs in. So with that in...
Hey,
Planing on putting some 265/35/18 Ad09 tyres on some 18x9.5 +38 rims. Lowered on spoon springs.
I’ve read that ad09s run wide, size for size.
What do we reckon. Is it going to rub lots? A little? Or not at all?
Tia
It’s all good. A group of owners here in New Zealand got fl5 spoon springs in from Japan. One is upgrading to coil overs, so I’ll be grabbing his spoon ones.
Hey,
Has anyone used these RS-R springs yet?
In NZ shops don’t have heaps of parts available for the fl5 yet. But there is one store that will order these in. So want some feedback if anyone has used them.
As mentioned earlier, there are models/versions that don’t have the subwoofer. Here in NZ the type r doesn’t have the Bose system, so there is no sub In boot. The boot space is symmetrical. So there is extra space on the right hand side.
why pay for tooling for two different boot liners, two...
I guess we are lucky in NZ, in that Honda have price promises, no markups etc. price at one dealer is the price you pay at any Honda dealer. I’ve got one coming, delivery around April(yet to be confirmed). $69,000nzd plus fees and orc for a total $72,000.
Nz had 120 coming in the first batch...
