I’m almost certain that this will be the last ICE Honda with the Nurburgring FWD record.
I still don’t know if it’ll be DCT or not, but at this point, it’s in the hands of the car journos to figure that out - DCT would contribute to a faster Ring time and would keep with the Type S’ philosophy.

Many Honda engineers/employees in the states have yet to even see one in person and they haven’t had a press event with driving examples yet that I know of. ?♂️
You know what’s odd of Honda? They never posted the 2020/2021 facelift FK8 or LE times at the ‘Ring.
I’ve got a sneaky suspicion that the facelifted FK8 with the same tires as the FL5 will set a comparable lap time - remember that the FK8 facelift received several suspension and brake upgrades...
It’s not the same transmission as the R. It’s the old Si transmission with some improvements and management/parts from the R.
