  1. Can 3-seat rear bench from Civic hatchback be fitted to FL5?

A matter of personal taste I suppose. I’m just saying swapping out the stock rear seats on the FL5 isn’t that big a deal since there isn’t anything “special” about them that’s all. I agree that the only reason to do this is to increase seating capacity mostly for kids and that was the case for...
  2. Can 3-seat rear bench from Civic hatchback be fitted to FL5?

I get it, but if it serves a purpose then I’m not sure he really cares what they look like. That back seat will be covered with Child seats and booster seats anyway lol if the rear seat came in a matching red like the front i doubt people would even consider doing this, but they are just black...
  3. Can 3-seat rear bench from Civic hatchback be fitted to FL5?

Looks like this is now confirmed possible... (not my car btw) Local guy i know through a Cars & Coffee event just sent me this today. Rear seat from a 2023 Civic Sport Hatchback apparently.

There isn’t much to it. All you need is like a 2ft section of straight 2.5” stainless exhaust piping, a reciprocating saw and a welder (or some slip on exhaust clamps to do it on the cheap but I wouldn’t recommend it). Pull the OEM exhaust off the car, cut the resonator out and weld (or clamp)...
  5. Integra exhaust

I referred to it as a Vacuum cleaner because the volume is low and wimpy not because the car produces a sucking sound... Come on man this isn't that complicated, Honda F***ed up. We are going around in circles for no reason. We all agree on the basic fact that the car's sound is lacking. It's...
  6. Integra exhaust

I'm talking about VOLUME... not quality of the Exhaust note which is highly subjective and beside the point being discussed. The reasoning everybody provides for the CTR's (lack of) exhaust sound is noise restrictions in varying regions of the world. I call BS. I simply provided those cars as an...

I am sorry but i have a hard time believing that logistics is why Honda made the CTR sound the way it does. Most if not all of the other cars I have mentioned are also Manufactured in a single plant or possibly split into 2 different plants but are produced as a world wide product. For example a...
  8. Integra exhaust

::activates +R mode:: now featuring - Gran Turismo 2 quality fake engine noises :drive:
  9. Integra exhaust

I'd argue that Honda definitely dropped the ball. The CTR is supposed to be a flagship high performance car for the brand and with that comes the performance & style (which Honda Nailed) and sound/Emotion which the car severely lacks in OEM spec. We can sit here an try to blame whatever region...
  10. Integra exhaust

Understandable, this mod is only going to be for those who are looking for the absolute MILDEST sound upgrade. IMO this is the bare minimum that this car should have sounded like from factory and the fact that we have to go through this hassle just to improve this one (important) aspect of an...

In my opinion, after having deleted just the front, I think deleting both resonators would probably introduce quite a bit of Drone into the cabin without modifying the rear muffler section. If you delete both resonators you will essentially have a straight pipe exhaust anytime your electronic...
  12. Integra exhaust

I think I’ll have to live with this version of the exhaust for a little while before I can decide if It’s enough for me or not. For now, I’m happy and don’t necessarily feel the need to make the car louder.
  13. Integra exhaust

Ok update time. I have successfully deleted the front resonator. I used some 2.5” stainless piping and a couple of 2.5” Vband clamps so that I can swap the resonator back in anytime I want. For the record the stock piping is NOT2.5” O.D. It’s actually more like 2.35” O.D. Piping but I made the...
  14. Integra exhaust

I am going to delete the front resonator.
  15. Integra exhaust

I ordered 2.5" piping and V-Band clamps. Should arrive tomorrow. Will try to get this done by this weekend and will report back.
  16. Integra exhaust

Can somebody confirm to me that the OEM Exhaust is in fact 2.5" O.D. piping? I am looking to order the materials to delete the front Resonator myself.
  17. Integra exhaust

I am really tempted to just order some 2.5" stainless tubing & a few V-clamps and then fire up the 'ol tig welder in the garage so that I can easily swap the OEM resonators in and out of the car to try every different combination...

Agreed that it can get old if overdone. I ran the "burble tune" for a week on my N54 135i before I said.... no thanks... and used my MHD flash tuner to turn it off. From what I have heard in all the review videos so far, this effect seems to be somewhat mild with the Type S. Mild enough that...
  19. Integra exhaust

A Tune can definitely change your exhaust sound. Fuel and timing changes can create the “overrun” or “burble” or “pops and bangs” sound whatever you want to call it. That’s mostly going to come from ECU calibration more so than removing a resonator.
  20. Integra exhaust

Theoretically couldn't one get a similar sound by deleting the Front Resonator and adding a Hondata tune? Seems like that should be easily doable no? I'm guessing the Hondata tunes don't specifically add "pops & bangs" but I'm sure you'd get at least some overrun noises etc from that combo...
