Have you looked into the adding of any aftermarket parts/tunes that could potentially add background noise, throwing off the knock threshold map, and in turn falsely adding knock control?
Obviously there’s going to be a good and a bad to every single thing out there. I’ve just read some threads about people having issues with their tunes. And there was one thread I responded to about a dyno chart with an inflated tcf value of 1.25 Drob had posted the converted HP To a Tcf value...
I know there’s not too many good tuners out there right now for the civic X. But in my experience, DROB does not even know how to do simple math...as seen in some threads about the upgraded turbo. Yeah he might make your car go faster and not have you blow your engine right away. But I would...
Received mine a few days ago, and just had time to install today. Took it out for a spin, eliminated a lot of the wheel hop I was getting on the stock RMM. NVH is DEFINITELY noticeable, but personally not as bad as I had originally thought. Great work, looking forward to see what else you guys...
I said I was done but, dude seriously? Why do you keep coming back to this? Why won’t you just drop it. Let the people do what they want and go find another thread to troll. If they want it, let them have fun instead of ruining their days. I’m convinced people like you are the reason Boomba is...
Ignore the facts and science? I have the datalogs, from MY car. I have the facts right in front of me. Have you ever thought that maybe they threw codes and stalling because of the tunes that they are using or any bolt-ons?? Two of the same car can react differently, but it’s up to each user to...
Have you seen my data log that I posted earlier? Yes, I know it runs rich when it vta. With the STFT running rich for about 0.05 seconds and the ECU correcting the issue. Most of the running rich issues with a bov will happen because the bov stays open for a significant amount of time. Have you...
@SkyeHack I’m just here to learn about stuff I don’t know too much about and when I run across people arguing about something I like to do the testing myself
@Acraig3 i may have found your post after I posted this  but yeah the only real issue I’d see possibly happening is the whole carbon build up and even possibly washing the oil off the cylinder walls. BUT many other turbo’d cars from the manufacturer run more rich than these civic x’s...
Just did some testing with this bov. Here are the results. On a CVT with a ktuner 21 psi stage 1 tune and short ram intake and 93 octane fuel. Top picture is without and bottom picture is with bov. As shown, it does make it run rich when letting off the throttle, or in MT between shifts. Your...
