I couldn't get on a waitlist number that was worth waiting for. Was #6 so maybe a MY25. I'm sad that I could not secure the CTR but it does not make me bitter towards it in no way whatsoever. The FL5 is an instant classic and people who have been lucky enough to get one are definitely gonna be...
I saw a post somewhere where a guy described a FWD car as "So you know how when a dog has some infection around the poop area, it kinda drags itself forward with its front legs, and the hind legs are just dragging along for the ride?" and since then I just cannot forget how much sense that...
To all my fellow Canadians on this thread, if the CTR turns up on the market in a year or two, flipped up $10k-$20k over MSRP with a few thousand kms on the odo, would you pay the extra $$ to own it?
I'm pretty sure a few will pop up over the next couple of years and I'm wondering, since I...
The Cayman S from that era is amazing, and is a dream car for me too. The MR engine placement just gives an exquisite and unmatched driving/handling experience. At that price point, I would also consider an S2000, or even a BMW 125/135i, manual transmission ofc.
Now this is a review I desperately wanna see. Chris Harris is one hell of an automotive journalist. But all I see are much older cars for comparison. Is ToP gEaR in such a deep economic hole that they couldn't afford a FK8 for comparison? ?
A bigger screen like that would just eat up into the windscreen real estate and might prove to be a greater distraction. And personally, I don't care about the touch controls. Phones came with buttons before, but now you cannot imagine a phone with physical buttons on it. Its just a learning...
I'm in Canada and we're only getting 546 CTRs over 3 years, so the likelihood of getting a CTR is slim. I've already put a down for the Golf R myself. 315hp, AWD, heated/ventilated seats and steering, decent manual shifter. Its a win. There are a few software kinks currently, but my wait time is...
Elantra N (one of the best cars in its price range if you can stomach the exterior styling)
GR Corolla (great lil hot hatch, small cabin, non premium material)
FL5 CTR (ADM is outrageous, but definitely worth it if you can get it at sticker price)
Golf R (user unfriendly infotainment, but it can...
