Turbo keeps blowing them out. Known lc15 issue, the turbos are known to blow. Usually swapping from the recirculating bypass to a waste gate to atmosphere fixes the issue
Probably won't be a direct swap given the si and type r are different body styles/platforms. But anything is possible with a grinder, hammer and welder.
The enginerds at Honda accounted for the break in period, go by the maintenance minder. And don't take my word for it, check out engineering explained's video about it on YouTube
I'm no engineer, BUT if you keep the throttle pinned and use the clutch to modulate power, you will NEVER lug the engine/turbo. Probably should start saving for a clutch upgrade if you go this route...
Never had issues with my 10th gen, just liked the styling of the 11th better. I don't miss the adaptive dampers, never had issues with oil dilution. The rev hang is considerably less noticable than the tenth gen.
