Good to know as a last ditch option. I think the rim is salvageable and I’d like to keep the oe set for ocd sake so I may see if I can find somewhere that will repair it. Planned on getting an aftermarket set of 18” wheels/tires, just didn’t plan to do it now…
It’s between the dealer I got the car from and where I had a recent tire replacement performed on the wheel that is damaged. Neither are admitting fault but the dealer that replaced the tire is working with me to make it right. I’ll reserve making identifying remarks until all is said and done...
They are claiming that since the carfax indicates there was previous tire work done and that means the other party could be responsible. Still working to get resolved.
Dealer f’d up one of my wheels and now it won’t hold air. Looking to see if anyone has one or a set they would part with, hopefully near the greater Nashville area.

Found this as well, I've already asked the service manager if he can confirm that the correct setup/procedure was used for a reverse mount wheel, waiting for a response...
I watched the tire guy work on the tire/wheel myself and the damage was not caused by him popping the tire off the bead to inspect the inside of the wheel barrel. Interesting video and thank you for sharing, that metal hook definitely could have caused the damage, but would it not have done the...
Sounds like a similar experience I'm in the midst of trying to get resolved. Damaged a sidewall about 2 years ago and had the car towed to the closest local Honda dealer. Tire was replaced under the Wheel and Tire road hazard warranty purchased with the car. Wheel was inspected and I was told...
Good looking set of kit they offer, assuming they sell through dealers since there is no pricing on their website? Curious to see what their stuff costs, at some point will start going through the suspension and remaining powertrain mounts to get everything bumping to the same groove 😎
Clearly brother we have moved on from not being able to afford nice things to cherishing the desire to do more than turning nuts and bolts 😎. Love the effort, keep it up, I’ll reach out directly at some point when I get time to tinker again myself!
Yep, I've seen oil temps at or near that same level on hard uphill mountain runs but never had any limp mode either. Backed off the first time out of caution, but have run several times more since and they don't exceed 250 so I've kept in it since. If anything, just means changing the oil more...
Been running mine for over a year at this point, working great and no issues to report. IATs in hot weather (90+) are consistently between 10 and 30 above ambient. Sitting idling in traffic, IATs rise higher indicating heat soaking, but quickly recover back down to the normal operating range...
Love the idea and execution! Reminds me of high school days wrenching on my Ford Probe GT, went hunting in a junkyard and snatched a Saab cold start injector, hobbs pressure switch, a compressor wheel/housing off a Thunderbird turbo coupe, and a set of DSM 450cc injectors all for $50. Found a...
