Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the response.
So there’s really no simple way to raise the limiter on an OEM+ car. I basically just want 350whp and an 8k limiter lol
Valves are the weak point in raising the limiter on these cars.
Forgive my lack of mechanical knowledge but can valves be upgraded the same way rods/pistons can?
Like a “forged” alternative? My dream is an 8200rpm limit lol and I’m wondering if the K20C1 can be reliably built for that.
Again...
Please ignore the annoying knock, I’m referencing the groaning sound (Idk how else to describe it)
It goes away as soon as I release the clutch. Only really present on cold starts and I can’t replicate by revving the car while the clutch it depressed. It’s only on cold starts
That is EXACTLY the issue I and many others have. It’s not a spun bearing, all four of mine replaced and noise persists.
Almost inaudible on a cold start but warm is very noticeable. I’ve noticed the noise for the past 7k miles, since the money shift.
Others have had the noise since their cars...
If you take it to Honda they can see engine RPM and the mileage stamp. However, if you do this, it will be permanently logged in their systems and your warranty is voided
Now, can you get dealers who will work with you? Of course, but technically warranty is shot.
I did the same thing and got...
Down in Mexico last night, +-130mph (theoretically)
Go to put the car in neutral and the trans feels off, almost like I’m still in gear but I wasn’t. I keep trying to move the shifter to see if I’m in neutral but the shifter doesn’t have a lot of play, like it’s in gear.
Finally find neutral...
Was driving today and ran 2nd-3rd WOT to merge on the highway. Had AC on blast and holy shit the motor is significantly louder.
Is this just a me thing?
Good thread here, makes sense. I figured it was normal behavior since it’s exactly the same every time. Anyone have any real changes in feel by turning TC off? I’ve left it on so I don’t end up in the ditch. Might turn it off after I have some more seat time...
As title states, I have what feels like a slight lag after a top of second into third gear up shift. You’ll be on the throttle and it feels like there’s a half second delay before it gets up and going again.
No grinds or anything that feels like a bad shift, just that slight delay in power...
