  1. Raising stock rev limiter

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the response. So there’s really no simple way to raise the limiter on an OEM+ car. I basically just want 350whp and an 8k limiter lol
  2. Raising stock rev limiter

Valves are the weak point in raising the limiter on these cars. Forgive my lack of mechanical knowledge but can valves be upgraded the same way rods/pistons can? Like a “forged” alternative? My dream is an 8200rpm limit lol and I’m wondering if the K20C1 can be reliably built for that. Again...
  3. Weird noise on cold start with clutch depressed

Intermittent, hasn’t done it today at all. Will prolly show my shop this video when I get an oil change in a month or so
  4. Weird noise on cold start with clutch depressed

Please ignore the annoying knock, I’m referencing the groaning sound (Idk how else to describe it) It goes away as soon as I release the clutch. Only really present on cold starts and I can’t replicate by revving the car while the clutch it depressed. It’s only on cold starts
  5. FL5 I money shifted twice....

    Hopefully all went well?
  6. FL5 I money shifted twice....

That is EXACTLY the issue I and many others have. It’s not a spun bearing, all four of mine replaced and noise persists. Almost inaudible on a cold start but warm is very noticeable. I’ve noticed the noise for the past 7k miles, since the money shift. Others have had the noise since their cars...
  7. FL5 I money shifted twice....

No, was not covered. Cost around $1100 for all four bearings. Assuming they just drop the oil pan to do it. Does yours tick now too?
  8. FL5 I money shifted twice....

If you take it to Honda they can see engine RPM and the mileage stamp. However, if you do this, it will be permanently logged in their systems and your warranty is voided Now, can you get dealers who will work with you? Of course, but technically warranty is shot. I did the same thing and got...
  9. Weird transmission feel at high speed

Down in Mexico last night, +-130mph (theoretically) Go to put the car in neutral and the trans feels off, almost like I’m still in gear but I wasn’t. I keep trying to move the shifter to see if I’m in neutral but the shifter doesn’t have a lot of play, like it’s in gear. Finally find neutral...
  10. Anyone notice their Type R being noticeably louder with AC on?

Dude lolol I was like did it decide to identify as a B16 today??
  11. Anyone notice their Type R being noticeably louder with AC on?

Was driving today and ran 2nd-3rd WOT to merge on the highway. Had AC on blast and holy shit the motor is significantly louder. Is this just a me thing?
  12. Delay in power delivery after 2-3 shift

If anyone cares, the solution to this is to shift at redline. Basically as it’s beeping at you, shift.
  13. Delay in power delivery after 2-3 shift

Good thread here, makes sense. I figured it was normal behavior since it’s exactly the same every time. Anyone have any real changes in feel by turning TC off? I’ve left it on so I don’t end up in the ditch. Might turn it off after I have some more seat time...
  14. Delay in power delivery after 2-3 shift

Damn, I don’t know what I was expecting lol any way to mitigate that? Not so much for street driving but just kind of curious
  15. Delay in power delivery after 2-3 shift

As title states, I have what feels like a slight lag after a top of second into third gear up shift. You’ll be on the throttle and it feels like there’s a half second delay before it gets up and going again. No grinds or anything that feels like a bad shift, just that slight delay in power...
