  1. Cobb Redline Intake and Intercooler Released

Not the greatest before and after comparison, but prior to the Cobb intake with the RV6 660 turbo I made 424hp and 375tq After getting it retuned, it was evident more fuel was needed, so with the Cobb intake and added Full Race HPFP I ended up with 442hp and 390tq.
  2. Supposed idle issues with aftermarket intake airbox?

I thought the same. I tried a new gasket and still had a off idle. Didn't make sense. It's not like PRL is super complicated either. It's a good intake. My car just didn't like it lol
  3. Supposed idle issues with aftermarket intake airbox?

yeah, I couldn't figure it out either. I remember posting how I bought prl to avoid idle issues and someone replied saying prl has idle issues as well, guess they were right lol.
  4. Supposed idle issues with aftermarket intake airbox?

yeah, that's what it did to me. It was minor, but enough to make me not want it anymore lol It was really annoying in parking lots though. I'm trying to drive around nomal and my car is over revving with the idle hanging way to long. That was my main issue with it.
  5. Supposed idle issues with aftermarket intake airbox?

Just updating, I've driven around like crazy with the new cobb revised intake box. Zero issue, stays on just fine. I did install the hose part differently that attaches to the box. This time I clamped all that down really good, then bolted down the actual box. I felt like this ensured there were...
  6. Supposed idle issues with aftermarket intake airbox?

ah yeah, I tried that white liquid gasket sealant, but for me, it just never stood up to hard driving and hot temps..and broke loose, causing the leak around the MAF. I gave up lol. But good to hear it's working for you.
  7. Supposed idle issues with aftermarket intake airbox?

interesting...tuners are seeing that it does. What information do you have to go off of to make that assumption?
  8. New Drop-In Turbo Guide for FK8/FL5/DE5 — No BS, Real WHP Ranges

Oh, didn't realize he already had the comparison test done. I can't reach facebook form work right now. I had just hit him up about doing a dyno to run a comparison lol, he's the one who tuned mine.
  9. New Drop-In Turbo Guide for FK8/FL5/DE5 — No BS, Real WHP Ranges

right lol, I'm pressing my luck I'm sure. I'm thinking of going back to the dyno to just see if there's any significant gains since I upgraded to the Cobb intake...to show if there really is any gains at all.
  10. New Drop-In Turbo Guide for FK8/FL5/DE5 — No BS, Real WHP Ranges

yes. Don't worry, just temporary lol. I should start with the new motor build next month. So hopefully by March I'll have the fully built motor in
  11. Supposed idle issues with aftermarket intake airbox?

right, because the FL5 has a greater "frequency-based mass airflow sensor, which offers more range and power potential". So wouldn't more airflow help provide more power when tuning for bigger gains? Or are you saying that more airflow doesn't help provide more power?
  12. Supposed idle issues with aftermarket intake airbox?

interesting...so that means having a bigger overall MAF doesn't provide any gains, even after tuning?
  13. New Drop-In Turbo Guide for FK8/FL5/DE5 — No BS, Real WHP Ranges

I'm using the normal RV6 660 turbo. At the time of tuning, I got 424whp on 93 octane (building the motor early next year) Mods at that time: RV6 660 Turbo RV6 Catted Downpipe Wagner Intercooler Airtec Intake Milltek Exhaust
