Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

Is this one Sonic Grey Pearl? I think I saw it in person. I also saw they had a used red one

I think Ive seen a SGP and several CW. A few werent their cars originally as per the carfax data I saw.

Same here, need those back seats cant beat the practicality of the Civic platform. If I didnt need them I'd go another route years ago by now.

Unless you were on a list, there’s little to no chance. Besides, most dealerships are adding on packages, so you’re going to pay more. You’re better off looking at the used market.

I assume they are just listing them as a bait and switch tactic.

They are apparently automated by the dealership and true that most already sold, but they have been a few were available.

It pretty much happened twice at the dealer I'm dealing with. I backed out of my allocation in June, next person with deposit on next allocation skipped, it became available and someone else on this forum managed to grab it. I never got my deposit back, so reached out to dealer and expressed interest in still getting the car, but their last allocation was already linked to a deposit. Found out today that person backed out, so it's mine, arriving around Friday! Had I not contacted them, car would be available again. So there could be more situations like this out there.

Technically this car is mine, spent 3 hours at the dealer yesterday to negotiate trading my 2024 circuit edition. Like I said before, I love my GR so this is complicated.
