Hi, please let us know when you get the parts in for the affected cars ? Just got off the phone with my dealer and was advised that Honda will send them the parts when they become available! I asked them for a time estimate and we’re unable to tell me. Still nothing in writing from Honda concerning the recall.Correct I said they’re available meaning they’re in Alpharetta
So warranty pays 1.3 hours for tech work on a 4-5 hour job. Who pays the rest of the hours? Am I looking at this right?Warranty pays the tech 1.3 hours on the job.

Bummer for himYou're looking at it correctly. Nobody pays it and the tech gets screwed. Welcome to the automotive repair industry.
Absolutely. I'm a tech at an independent shop so thankfully I don't have to deal with it. When I take my car in for the seat repair or any other warranty work I will most certainly be taking a gift card to give to whoever is working on it before they start. Goes a long way in getting them to take better care of the car.Bummer for him
I was just thinking this as well! I’ll certainly want them to take care of my car and i’ll be happy to help them out!Absolutely. I heard it is pretty ridiculous, but not this F-up!You're looking at it correctly. Nobody pays it and the tech gets screwed. Welcome to the automotive repair industry.
Yeah it sucks. That's why I always hated how dealerships are so scummy and stingy with money. Customers get screwed over on the sales and on service with overpriced parts and to top it off the guy servicing your car is underpaid so there's no incentive to keep techs working hard or doing a bad job. Wouldn't mind paying extra if it meant that money went into keeping the quality up but sadly it doesn't work that way. At least with luxury brands generally speaking the service is alot better. You're looking at it correctly. Nobody pays it and the tech gets screwed. Welcome to the automotive repair industry.
Don’t know your situation, but some have already had their recalled CTRs repaired (see Eric J Sebastian’s post on FB site “Official 2023+ Civic Type R Group”).I just don’t understand this. Just talked to the service department at my dealership and they told me they were on a waiting list for the parts and would get in touch when they are in. I did exactly as you told me and tried to make an appointment but they were telling me, the parts might not be in by then. I have a car in the 400’s so I don’t understand whey they would keep a low serial # waiting. What am I missing?
Thanks
